Where To Buy Nice Yet Affordable Wrapping Paper

I love wrapping presents and making them look nice. But there's usually just one teeny tiny thing- I'm not very good at it.

Yeah just a minor detail.

I don't know why but I can't seem to wrap presents too neatly, and I'm no Rowan Atkinson in Love Actually when it comes to sprucing presents up. The past couple of years though, I have tried to make more of an effort and I was pretty happy with last years efforts. This year, I wanted to do the same, so went on a hunt for pretty, but affordable (cause you know-it's Christmas) wrapping paper.

I asked you guys on Twitter where was the best place to get nice wrapping paper and you guys delivered the goods. I then went on a little wrapping paper hunt and today's post is all about what I've found and how I'm wrapping my presents, though the best thing? None of it costs a fortune That's right, I got you sorted.

So I have got quite a lot of metallic paper this year, what can I say? I'm a sucker for a bit of gold wrapping paper. But I was very surprised to see just how much nice wrapping paper there is out there.

All of my picks are from either; Sainsbury's (some of their wrapping paper is reduced and they have a 3 for 2 offer on ATM) Ginger Ray (perfect for cute little accessories such as ribbon, tags, and bells - yes really) and Matalan (they have most of their wrapping paper on sale- I got two rolls for £1 each and a multipack with accessories for just £3 - bargain!)

Other noticeable mentions go to : Tesco (3 for 2 and have some very pretty patterns) Primark (loads of choice and very cheap) and you guys also recommended; Aldi, Poundland, Wilko's, Ikea, & Morrisons.

So first of all, just the wrapping paper alone makes your presents look worthy of the heart eye emoji, but if you fancy adding a little something else, or being extra as the cool kids call it- then things like ribbon, name tags, spruces of faux trees and bells from Ginger Ray are easy ways to make your present look extra special. Honestly your presents will look so good, no one will want to open them.

As you can tell, there is quite a pink theme with my presents this year, which is probably not surprising! The ribbon is from Hobbycraft, which I think adds a really nice touch to the presents. I used this video to remind myself how to tie the perfect bow- yes really.
